Who Is on Course for Super Bowl LVIII?

Next year’s Super Bowl is set to be a historic moment as it will be the first time the game will be played in Las Vegas. The Allegiant Stadium will host the biggest game in the sport and will feature Usher as the half-time entertainment.

Here is a look at which teams are on course to be involved in the “greatest show on turf”.

AFC

The Kansas City Chiefs defeated the Philadelphia Eagles in a thriller at Super Bowl LVII. They will now be bidding to become the first back-to-back winners since 2004. The defending champions have NFL odds of +275 to win the AFC Championship and book their spot in Vegas.

With talented quarterback Patrick Mahomes at the top of his game, the Chiefs will be expected to be in the mix again this season. They are third best at +650 in the bet on Super Bowl futures market.

The Baltimore Ravens are having an excellent season in the AFC. They were 10-3 after their opening 13 games this season. The AFC North team has scored 769 through their first 13 matches, the most by any side in the AFC.

Former regular season MVP Lamar Jackson was drafted in the first round of the NFL Draft in 2018 by Baltimore. He is showing exactly why they put their confidence in him as he already has over 20 all-purpose touchdowns this season.

NFC

Arguably the two strongest teams in the NFC this season both come from the same division, as NFC East’s Dallas Cowboys and Philadelphia Eagles have looked very dominant. Those two teams have a 10-3 record and are in contention for the number one seed in the conference.

The Eagles will be hoping to get back to the Super Bowl and make up for their painful loss last February. They will be confident they can do that as they defeated the Chiefs 21-17 at Arrowhead earlier in the campaign, and they have also had wins over the Buffalo Bills, Miami Dolphins, and Cowboys.

In the NFC South, Miami has shown they have one of the most explosive offenses in the NFL. They put up 70 points against the Denver Broncos earlier in the campaign and they have scored 30 points or more in seven matches this season.

The Dolphins have not won the Super Bowl since 1973. The franchise will be hoping this is the season they finally end their wait to lift the Vince Lombardi Trophy again. Mike McDaniel is in just his second as a head coach in the NFL and he deserves to be credited with a lot of their success.

Elsewhere in the NFC, the Detroit Lions are having their best season since 2014. They have already won nine games and are in control of the NFC North. The Lions are the only team in the NFL that has not appeared in a Super Bowl before.

Super Bowl LVIII takes place on February 11 and the two teams will be known at the end of the Conference Championship games on January 28.
