Now, many people probably expected to see the Asus ROG Phone 6 appear on this list before the Asus ROG Phone 5, which is now a couple of editions out of date. But, we include it for a good reason and one that we’ll come onto shortly. However, before we do, it’s worth pointing out that even though this device has been around since 2021, it still more than holds its own as a gaming-ready smartphone today.

However, what stands out for us about this device in particular, and why it gets a mention, is because while it is, in the eyes of many, a gaming phone, it also has enough appeal and enough going on for non-gamers to use it as a smartphone. This factor alone has been a key driver in the number of sales that have occurred since it was released.
Nubia Red Magic 7
We’re going to close this list off with the Nubia Red Magic 7. And, while it appears at the end, it doesn’t mean it’s a device that should be overlooked because it certainly most shouldn’t. When people think of gaming devices, such as PCs, they think of the high specs, the latest tech, and then the steep price. But the Nubia Red Magic 7 has all the good stuff but is affordable, which is a seriously attractive quality to have where today’s market is concerned.
You may think, wrongly, that there are compromises in quality made at points that allow the Nubia Red Magic 7 to fall into the affordable category that you could say it currently leads. But, if there are, they’re not noticeable. For example, the onboard processor means top-end games are easily handled, and it’s possible to have up to 16GB of RAM in play too. Who would have thought high-end could be affordable?
