Without a doubt, Tiger Woods elevated golf to new heights that not even the great Arnold Palmer and Jack Nicklaus could pull off. But, just as Woods was bringing the sport to its pinnacle, he was also responsible for bringing it down. Tiger’s scandals, controversies, and everything else unpleasant about him impacted the sport.

But that doesn’t mean the future of Golf is over in the country. Half of the current PGA Tour Top ten golfers are Americans. While they are all terrific golfers, they don’t have the same star power Woods or Palmer had.
